With two keyboards and a full pedalboard, the OAX 800LS is our flagship organ we use for music making. With Windows 11 running on a i7 processor and 32GB of RAM this organ runs the OAX software, which means that upgrading is a matter of uploading new software and not buying a new organ each time we want to upgrade.
Up to 16 sounds of the Advanced Sound System can be played simultaneously on the manuals. For each instrument you can make a wide variety of playing settings, including individual effects such as chorus, distortion, wah-wah, etc. This allows us to conjure up the most versatile arrangements in minutes, which can then be saved in thousands of Total Presets (complete settings for the entire organ) and conjure them up again “at the touch of a button” if required.
Addons allow us to convert all the Yamaha styles in to the Wersi system and the entertainer package adds 200 or more new sounds to the organ. Version 3 of the software will be installed soon allowing us to emulate a Lowery organ as well as a Hammond or a Fartisa. We are looking forward to the WERSI Chord Band which can distribute for example, the individual sounds trumpet, trombone and saxophone to the individual voices of a chord. In a chamber orchestra, the individual instruments violins, violas, cellos and bass play different parts. This will make the organ sound one of the most realistic on the market which will be fantastic for the backing tracks to the videos.
With a big foot in the computing world, this software organ along with addons like Hauptwerk, Organteq, Miditizer and other VST software allow us the complete freedom to create any sound we like for the best sounding music.
With two 76 note keyboards and a 25 note pedalboard we can do as much as we can with this organ. We have added a second screen to the organ added a keyboard and a mouse and put in a large SSD for storage.
